Around 700 peace activists gathered in the northeastern German city of Brandenburg to urge NATO to stop escalating the Russia-Ukraine crisis by holding its "largest-ever" aerial drill. Known as "Air Defender 23", the largest-ever NATO air force deployment exercise involves 10,000 military personnel and 250 combat aircraft from 25 nations.
