Antony Blinken, the U.S. secretary of state, is visiting China four months later than planned. It is his first visit to China as a senior cabinet member in the Biden administration. The trip follows an agreement between Chinese President Xi Jinping and his U.S. counterpart Joe Biden to enhance communication during their meeting in Bali last November. But given the tumultuous events of the past four months, many have tempered their expectations for the outcome of the talks here in Beijing.
