The vote for the constitutional referendum began Sunday morning in Mali.
Vote centers in the country opened at 8 a.m. (0800 GMT) and around 8.4 million voters are expected to cast their ballots.
According to observers, the vote began on time and is taking place under the close surveillance of security forces.
The provisional results are expected to be announced in 72 hours. Mali's presidential elections are scheduled for February 2024.
