A peace delegation consisting of leaders and envoys from South Africa and other African countries recently visited Russia and Ukraine on June 16 and 17 in an attempt to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Nigerian scholar Ibiang Samson believes that the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict has brought many challenges to the economies and livelihoods of African countries, and that the mediation of African countries is beneficial to their own development. In addition, he said the U.S. in the Russia-Ukraine conflict is contradictory and its behavior of adding fuel to the fire is disappointing.
