Philippines' all walks of life protest against Japan's nuclear-contaminated water discharge plan
01:01

Representatives of Filipino fishermen and other groups organizations held a forum in Quezon City, strongly opposing the release of nuclear-contaminated water from Fukushima in Japan by holding up protest boards.

They said the Philippines is ecologically fragile and relies on seafood for its livelihood. Once the ocean is polluted, it will have an immeasurable impact on their livelihoods and health. They've opposed the move to release the contaminated water several times since the Japanese government announced the nuclear wastewater discharge plan.
