As the Yangtze River Basin officially enters the summer rainy season, several areas across southern and eastern China have seen heavy rainfall, with more rain forecast in the next few days.

Meteorological authorities confirmed that regions south of the Huaihe River in Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces in east China officially entered the rainy season on June 17. Other areas affected by rainfall include Shanghai and Anhui Province in east China.
