Tibetan opera was born in the early 14th century and has been listed as a national intangible cultural heritage. Tashi Qudeng is known as "the first village of Tibetan opera," and the former small village has now transformed into a charming place for tourism. Sonam Yangjen, a Tibetan opera actress for 15 years, says she hopes for wider understanding of the play.
