U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is in China for a two-day visit. During his trip, the two sides will exchange views on China-U.S. relations as well as major international and regional issues of common interest.

CGTN Stringer invited Nick Vyas, an economics expert from the University of Southern California, to talk about the trade friction between China and the U.S. Vyas says this needs to be discussed from different dimensions. Over three or four decades, China has become the world's largest manufacturing hub. For the U.S., the trade deficit has become a concern. In Vyas's view, China and the U.S have to understand that they are interdependent and should continue to cooperate.
