00:52

The number of vehicles entering Dushanzi-Kuqa Highway in Northwest China, one of the country's most popular drives due to its unique beauty, reached 6,064 on Sunday, the first day it reopened after a seasonal closure. The 561-kilometer-long highway, connecting Dushanzi in northern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Kuqa City in the south, runs through various types of landscapes including canyons, glaciers, lakes and grasslands. Due to natural factors such as snowy weather and ice, the highway is only open from June to October every year, attracting tourists and bikers.
