Quanzhou, situated on the southeastern coast of China, has been called a museum of the world's religions. As a major trade hub in ancient China, the city attracted people from all over the world. Their presence contributed to the harmonious coexistence among different ethnic and religious groups, including Buddhist, Hindu, Taoist, Nestorian, Jewish, Catholic and Muslim. Many religious sites can still be found in the city.
