Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin said Russia believes July 18 will see the completion of the grain deal, according to Russian media RIA and TASS.

But Russia does not rule out fresh talks with the UN on the matter before then, the report added.

Last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin said the country is considering withdrawing from the grain export deal, as most of the Ukrainian grain is being sold to the wealthy European Union nations instead of going to the developing countries as agreed.

According to a TASS report on Tuesday, the UN has confirmed that it cannot do anything to address some of Russia's central grievances around the Black Sea grain deal.

The international body is unable to ensure the resumption of piped ammonia exports from Russia, the reconnection of its agricultural bank to the SWIFT payment system, or to ensure the supply of spare parts for agricultural machinery, the report quoted Russia's Foreign Ministry as saying.
