European Commission chief proposes 50b euros for Ukraine's recovery

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Wednesday proposed 50 billion euros (about $55 billion) from the EU for Ukraine's recovery.
The EU has a "special responsibility" towards Ukraine in the long term, von der Leyen said at the Ukraine Recovery Conference held in London on Wednesday.
"Our proposed Facility for Ukraine would ensure support until 2027 with up to 50 billion euros", the European Commission chief said.
