The musical notes of French and Chinese bands mingled at a three-day festival in the Daliang area of Shunde in Foshan, Guangdong.

The 2023 Shunde Music Day, running from April 29 to May 1, treated music lovers at the Shunde OCT Harbour PLUS venue to performances from Soul Conductor, Aquacold and Mover from China and Reptile Dysfunction, Polar Joint and Djang San from France.

Featuring the theme "French-Cantonese life," the event featured a variety of foods and workshops showcasing Chinese and French culture.

The music event formed part of the Croisements Festival, which runs from April to July this year across 20 cities in China and will feature 65 projects including more joint performances by Chinese and French artists, cultural forums, film screenings and art exhibitions. The Croisements Festival was established in 2006 and aims to promote exchanges between artists from China and France.
