Time is quickly running out for five people aboard a missing submersible that lost contact with its mother ship on June 18 as it descended to the wreck of the Titanic.
The U.S. Coast Guard said sounds and banging noises were heard from the search area on June 21, providing a measure of hope as search vessels working against the odds scoured the North Atlantic for the submersible.
However, no official has publicly suggested they know the source of the underwater noises.
