Thirty years after The Vienna Declaration and Programme of Action (VDPA) was adopted at the World Conference on Human Rights, the Forum on Global Human Rights Governance was held in Beijing to discuss equality, cooperation and development, and how these notions closely relate to human rights. In his speech, Everly Paul Chet Greene, minister of foreign affairs, agriculture, trade and Barbuda affairs of Antigua and Barbuda, said that the VDPA has played a crucial role in shaping social development. He added that "people are what human rights are all about" and that thanks to China's people-centered approach, "people are the real masters of their destiny."
