People of the Yao ethnic group in Hechi of south China's Guangxi have a long history of cloth dyeing to make their traditional costumes. They use plants growing on local mountains – such as red orchid, perilla, and maple leaves – in the process of cloth dyeing. The cloth dyeing and Yao people's traditional embroidery make local garments look fantastically beautiful.
