CICAF 2023 concludes amid joy, passion and $200 million in proposed deals

The 19th China International Cartoon & Animation Festival (CICAF) concluded in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou on Saturday, where the value of proposed deals exceeded 1.4 billion yuan (around $206.8 million).

Running both offline and online from June 20 to 24, the five-day festival is counted as the animated carnival in China for superfans and business insiders alike, featuring over 100 activities including exhibitions, forums, contests, commercial events and other themed events.

The festival has reportedly attracted more than 2,300 domestic and international exhibitors and industry professionals, along with 567 enterprises and organizations from 67 countries and regions.

According to preliminary statistics, this year's festival, where China-chic elements were often cited as the highlight, has already seen around 10.8 million online and offline visits.
