The World Economic Forum's Summer Davos kicks off in Tianjin from June 27 to 29. In a world beset by slow post-pandemic economic recovery and rampant inflation, the theme of this year's Summer Davos is “Entrepreneurship: The Driving Force of the Global Economy.” Chinese Premier Li Qiang will deliver a keynote speech and will also meet the World Economic Forum Chairman Klaus Schwab.
CGTN's Tian Wei has an exclusive interview with World Economic Forum President Børge Brende. He says the Chinese economy still has huge potential. The global economy is growing at 2.8% this year, and China's growth is almost double that. The World Economic Forum president also notes that China is a market leader in renewable energy, high-speed rail and electric vehicles. China has to continue economic reforms to move up the industrial value chain. At the end of his interview, Brende expresses his high expectation for the Chinese Premier's speech!
