Photo taken on June 6, 2023, shows the phenomenon at the confluence of the Yangtze River and the Tuojiang River. The color differences are mainly due to their difference in debris and vegetation, causing a contrasting scene when the two bodies of water merge into one another to become a single river. /CNSPHOTO

Luzhou is a port city where the Tuojiang River joins into the Yangtze River. The Tuojiang River is one of the major tributaries of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. Every summer, the meeting of two water bodies creates a beautiful sight with their distinctive and contrasting colors.
