SUN YE Beijing "Mongolian Prime Minister Luvsannamsrai Oyun-Erdene has landed in Beijing Capital International Airport  this morning.

He has come at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, and will attend the Summer Davos Forum in Tianjin this week alongside other world leaders, including the primes ministers of Barbados, New Zealand and Vietnam.

China and Mongolia enjoy a strong relationship. Last November, the Mongolian President visited China. In talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, both pledged to work together for a shared future of peaceful coexistence, solidarity and win-win cooperation.

Chinese President Xi Jinping said greater synergy between the two sides could see the Belt and Road Initiative aligned with the Prairie Road development strategy, the Global Development Initiative with Mongolia's New Revival Policy, and China's two-step development strategy with Mongolia's long-term 2050 development vision.

Last year, President Xi expressed appreciation for Ulan Bator's plan to plant 1 billion trees by 2030, saying Beijing stands ready to cooperate on tackling desertification.

China-Mongolia coordination on the environment has been called into focus again this year, as both countries faced a brutal sandstorm season over the spring."
