Sudan's paramilitary Rapid Support Forces have announced a unilateral truce to take effect today and Wednesday during the Islamic holiday of Eid-al-Adha. The announcement came after the paramilitary group on Sunday took over the main base of a well-equipped police brigade in the capital Khartoum. Sudan's army confirmed the takeover of the base by the RSF after three days of fighting.
