'Catch me if you can'! Giant pandas vs. birds in SW China
CGTN
00:51

Two giant pandas were seen engaging in a game with small birds which flew overhead in southwest China's Sichuan Province, with footage showing a playful and adorable interaction as the panda pair attempted to catch them.

After each undertaking some unsuccessful paw-swinging attempts, the panda duo displayed some cooperative behavior as they teamed up to try and capture the birds, but ultimately their efforts proved fruitless as the bird continued to evade their grasp.

The panda base in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan, is a world-renowned institution for the ex-situ conservation of giant pandas as well as for their scientific research and breeding and panda-themed public education and tourism.
