The sixth World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) will be held from July 6 to 8 in Shanghai under the theme "Intelligent Connectivity: Generating the Future."
The conference will have four core sections: conference and forum, exhibition, contest and award.
This year's event will focus on new outlets of industrial and technological changes to accelerate the innovation and evolution of new generation of AI, said Wu Jincheng, director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, at a press conference on Thursday.
More than 30 AI models will be showcased during the conference to demonstrate the impact of AI models on the industry.
Over 1,400 guests are confirmed to attend the conference, including four Nobel Prize and Turing Award laureates, over 80 academicians from China and abroad and more than 50 enterprise pioneers from tech giants including Huawei, Alibaba, Apple and Tesla.
The number of exhibitors and exhibition area of this year's conference are the largest in history. The 50,000-square-meter venue will host more than 400 companies and 50 start-ups, covering a variety of industries, including AI models, chips, robotics and smart driving.
Held since 2018, the annual WAIC focuses on building world-class cooperation and exchange platforms and showing China's wisdom and Shanghai's solutions to the world.
