Wang Yi, director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China's Central Committee, met visiting UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed in Beijing on Thursday.

Guided by the principles of multilateralism, world peace and common development, Wang said China backs the UN to play a bigger role in international affairs.
