Business leaders and former diplomats from China and the United States took part in the second China-U.S. Non-Government Leaders Dialogue on Thursday. The virtual talks aim to promote mutual understanding and strategic consensus at a time of heightened tensions between the two countries. As part of the Chinese delegation, Cui Tiankai, a former ambassador to the U.S., told CGTN the talks can build on the outcomes of the recent visit to China by the U.S. State Secretary Antony Blinken. He stressed, "The thing is to act in the right direction after those in-depth talks."
