Andreea is a Romanian studying at Tsinghua University in Beijing, majoring in economics and finance. Back in high school, she became interested in Chinese language and culture. She joined a Chinese high school in Jiamusi City, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, as an exchange student where she studied calligraphy, Chinese painting, Tai Chi, Kung Fu and other courses. This is where she found her second family, her host family who took good care of her and with whom she always enjoyed spending Chinese New Year and other festivities.
Andreea says the wonderful experience living in China taught her the Chinese values of family unity and hospitality, which is heartwarming.
