A star-studded concert featuring popular Chinese music was staged in Hong Kong to mark the 26th anniversary of the territory's return to the motherland.
Entitled "A Full Moon Rising above the Greater Bay Area," the concert featured well-known Chinese songs, including many from classic films, presented by more than 100 musicians, singers, and filmmakers from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.
The concert opened with a performance of the song "Dragon Soars and Tiger Leaps" by Jackie Chan accompanied by the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra. Teams of Chinese drummers and lion dancers also appeared in the show, presenting an extraordinary mix of orchestral music integrated with traditional Chinese percussion and performances.

The concert has been praised as a highlight event that gathered many A-list singers and performers from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

As an influential cultural brand of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the first "A Full Moon Rising above the Greater Bay Area" Film Concert was held in Shenzhen on the evening of the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2021.
