A three-man crew from Italy soared over 80 kilometers above the New Mexico desert on Thursday aboard Virgin Galactic's rocket plane, marking the company's first flight with paying customers to the edge of space. Starting in August, the company is expected to fly the first of hundreds of ticket holders, many of whom have been waiting years for their chance to experience a few minutes of weightlessness.
