2023 is a year of recovery after getting through the global challenge of COVID-19, but also a year of uncertainties with regional conflicts still threatening global security. CGTN, for the first time, launched the International Cartoons and Illustrations Exhibition. This year's theme is "Embracing the Diversity of Civilizations," calling for mutual respect among different civilizations to build bridges of friendship. The event is open to cartoonists, illustrators, and all art enthusiasts worldwide. Works can be themed on diversity, equality, mutual learning and inclusiveness among civilizations, and can also depict the dire consequences of cultural estrangement, superiority and conflict of civilizations in human history.

Entries must be original, and each should be accompanied by a title and a short description. The style of work is not limited, and each author should not submit more than three pieces. Please submit the work through email and provide the author's real name and contact information. Please name the work with the author's name and the title, and use the International Cartoons and Illustrations Exhibition "Embracing the Diversity of Civilizations" as the email's subject.

Entries should be submitted in the formats of JPEG or JPG, at least 2480×3500 pixels, with a resolution of 300 dpi, from 1M to 10M.

An online exhibition featuring a curated selection of works will be providing the authors with the opportunity to receive a certificate and have their works featured in a portfolio book. Furthermore, CGTN will showcase the artworks across multiple platforms. CGTN opens up opportunities for participants of this event to foster future cooperation and offers artists a platform to showcase their works to both Chinese and international viewers.

The submission deadline is August 13 since the announcement is published.

Entries can be submitted through email: artexhibition@cgtn.com
