Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, RIA reported, citing the Kremlin.
Abbas declared his full support for the actions of the Russian leadership to protect the constitutional order, and law and order during the events of June 24, the Kremlin said.
The two sides expressed their willingness to further develop the traditional friendly relations between Russia and Palestine. The Russian side reiterated its principled position in support of a just and sustainable settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on the basis of existing international law.
