M6.9 earthquake hits Neiafu in Tonga region: USGS

A magnitude-6.9 earthquake struck some 134 km NW of Neiafu, Tonga on Sunday, according to United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The tremor hit at a depth of 225 km, according to data from the USGS.
There is no tsunami danger for the U.S. West Coast, British Columbia and Alaska, The U.S. Tsunami Warning System said.
