Rescue workers in parts of China have been carrying out evacuation efforts as torrential rains triggered floods and landslides. Heavy downpours pummeled Liupanshui City in southwest China's Guizhou Province, flooding streets and trapping residents. On June 30, multiple road sections and some houses in Yushe Town of Shuicheng District were flooded due to heavy rainfall, leaving many villagers stranded in their homes. Rescuers evacuated more than 40 people to safe places after a rescue mission that lasted about three hours.
