The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)'s safety report on the Japanese government's plan to discharge nuclear-tainted water from the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant into the Pacific Ocean failed to fully reflect the opinions of all experts that were involved in the review and its conclusions were limited and biased, said a Chinese official.

"China expressed regret that the IAEA had hastily released the report," Deng Ge, secretary-general of China Atomic Energy Authority told reporters on Tuesday.
