Cormorants have been feasting on carp in Qinghai Lake, Gangcha County in northwest China's Qinghai Province. They are adept at diving and catching fish and are known as superb hunters. The birds have recently come to the beach along the Buha River, the largest river flowing into Qinghai Lake, to catch fish swimming upstream to breed.
