Iran on Tuesday officially became the ninth member state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). Bolat Nurgaliyev, former secretary-general of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, said the move is an important step for both Iran and SCO. He spoke highly of China's contribution to SCO and economic cooperation.
