The flag of Iran was raised at the Beijing base of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on Tuesday during a ceremony to welcome Iran as the ninth full member. Iranian reporter Ehsan Keivani said among the reactions to the membership is the hope that SCO membership will help Iran to export energy and other commodities to the member states.
