Giant panda twins "He Hua" and "He Ye" celebrated their second birthday on Tuesday at Chengdu Panda Base in southwest China's Sichuan Province.

In an amusing video, the younger brother He Ye is first attracted by the birthday feast. He sits down comfortably and starts to enjoy the iced cake, pumpkin, carrots and fruit chunks.

His sister He Hua joins the birthday meal later, in a graceful manner.

The siblings then sit together, enjoying the food with slow and deliberate munching.

Born on July 4, 2020, by the mother panda Cheng Gong, the twins are very popular residents of the Chengdu Panda Base.

The base in Chengdu City, capital of Sichuan Province, is a world-renowned institution for the ex-situ conservation of giant pandas, as well as for their scientific research and breeding and panda-themed public education and tourism.

It is also famous for its efforts to protect and breed other endangered Chinese wildlife, including the red panda and other unique and at-risk species.

The footage appeared on the iPanda platform, which provides round-the-clock live broadcasts of the daily life and activities of pandas in the nature reserves of southwest China.
