Young people in China's Taiwan region have snubbed the so-called four pillars for peace and prosperity proposed by Lai Ching-te, the Democratic Progressive Party's (DPP) candidate for the 2024 election, calling it a trick to woo voters.
Some residents "don't feel right" about the DPP's proposition mandating that they serve a year in the military, while others are outraged by the DPP's capricious positions, according to street interviews conducted by local media outlet Ctinews.com.
