China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) will make concerted efforts to accelerate the transformation of "Made in China" into "Created in China", "Chinese speed" into "Chinese quality," and "Chinese products" into "Chinese brands," said MIIT Minister Jin Zhuanglong at an industry symposium on Thursday.

At the meeting, leaders from 10 key enterprises of various fields including electronics, textiles and light industries discussed how to promote the development and smooth operations of the manufacturing industry.

The MIIT will support industry players in overcoming various challenges and build a conducive environment for enterprises to operate in, said Jin.

Participating entrepreneurs expressed their confidence in China's industrial economy and its path toward recovery. Notably, China's factory activity in June surpassed expectations, with an expansion of 50.5 index points, according to the Caixin China Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) released on Monday.
