Seventy years ago, 48 British entrepreneurs, represented by Jack Perry, traveled from London to Beijing over 14 days to lead the way in opening up a trade channel between China and the UK, pushing back against domestic pressure at home. The group were dubbed the first generation of "icebreakers.”Today, their legacy is continued by Stephen Perry, the son of Jack. Over the course of the half century he's worked with China, he says he's experienced tremendous change.
