Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng met with U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen in Beijing on Saturday. The two sides had in-depth, candid, constructive and pragmatic exchanges on the implementation of the important consensus of the two heads of state made in Bali, on the economic and financial situation of the two countries and the world, and on cooperation in addressing common global challenges.
Generalizing national security is not conducive to normal economic and trade exchanges, the Chinese side said, expressing concern over U.S. sanctions and restrictive measures against China.
The two sides agreed to strengthen communication and cooperation on global challenges and maintain exchanges.
