Suzhou City in east China's Jiangsu Province will strive to become an industrial science and technology innovation center with global influence, said local officials following Chinese President Xi Jinping's inspection tour in the city.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, visited the exhibition center of the Suzhou Industrial Park in Suzhou on Wednesday.
