Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a phone talk with his Türkiye counterpart Hakan Fidan on Sunday. The two discussed Ukraine and the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
"The parties exchanged views on the regional agenda with an emphasis on recent developments around Ukraine, including the situation with the return of the 'leaders of Azov' from Istanbul to Kyiv," according to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The statement said the two ministers also touched on prospects for further cooperation, such as issues related to ensuring global food security and certain aspects o Russian-Turkish bilateral cooperation.
