China stands ready to work with all countries to consolidate a development consensus and solve problems for common development and prosperity, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng said on Tuesday.
Han made the remarks when meeting with attendees from Asia, Africa and Latin America who are attending the first high-level conference of the Forum on Global Action for Shared Development, in Beijing.
Hailing the active participation of the attendees and their efforts of promoting the meeting to achieve important results, Han said a series of initiatives, including the Global Development Initiative (GDI), contribute Chinese wisdom to solving the common challenges faced by mankind, which is widely commended by the international community.
Highlighting the importance of common development, Han said China is advancing national rejuvenation through a Chinese path to modernization, vowing to work with all countries to consolidate development consensus and solve development problems.
He also said China will help accelerate the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, aiming to build a community with a shared future for mankind.
Expressing support for the important initiatives put forward by China, attendees appreciated China for leading the development agenda, providing a platform for cooperation, and speaking out for developing countries.
Taking the implementation of the GDI as an opportunity, they also pledged to jointly promote coordinated, inclusive, sustainable and high-quality development.
