EU approves data transfer deal with U.S.

The European Commission on Monday approved a Data Privacy Framework aimed at ensuring safe data flows between the European Union and the United States.
The approval came in tandem with a decision adopted by the European Commission concluding that the U.S. "ensures an adequate level of protection – comparable to that of the European Union – for personal data transferred from the EU to U.S. companies under the new framework."
