Under the Belt and Road Initiative, Malaysia has cooperated with China on many projects, such as the East Coast Rail Link and the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park, which have brought investment and job opportunities to the local area and promoted the development of freight logistics. Tang Yan Joo is a student from Malaysia who is currently studying economics and finance at the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University. She hopes that the Belt and Road Initiative will benefit both countries economically, socially and politically. In the near future, she looks forward to contributing to the economic and cultural cooperation between China and Malaysia through her acquired expertise.
