China hit back at NATO's remarks on Tuesday, accusing the alliance of malice by distorting Chinese policies and smearing China. It referred to China's policies as ambitious and claimed these posed "systemic challenges."
China said it would fight back at any move that undermines its legitimate rights and interests. It also criticized NATO for its constant interference in other nation's affairs. It expressed concern over NATO's repeated reference to the bloc's nuclear capacity, which China says will only escalate tensions in the region.
