The project to build the East Sixth Ring Road in Beijing continues apace. The aim is to develop the sub-central areas of the Chinese capital, and the undertaking employs some of the country's most advanced machinery. This includes China's biggest tunnel boring machine, measured by diameter. The East Sixth Ring Road will open for traffic before the end of 2024.
