Stir-fried egg with bitter gourd /CFP
Although it has quite an astringent taste, the bitter gourd harvested during summer is a good choice for the hot season as it can invigorate the stomach, act as a diuretic and remove heat from your body. Chop the vegetable into thin slices and boil them in hot water for a while to remove much of their bitterness, and then stir-fry the slices with egg, simply adding some salt and sugar before bringing it to the table at a sizzling heat.
