The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Eastern Theater Command fully monitored and maintained alert on U.S. patrol aircraft P-8A Poseidon in accordance to law as it transited through the Taiwan Straits on Thursday, Senior Colonel Shi Yi, spokesperson for the PLA Eastern Theater Command said.
The PLA Eastern Theater Command is on high vigilance all the time and will resolutely safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity, Shi said.
